Thinking alike

In Matthews Bloggy he points out some very interesting points. I agree with him on how Montag is starting to remind me of like Clarisse. I think it's crazy how me and my pal matt think so much a like. I also think that Montag thinks the firemen use to take fire out. He knows something is strange and wants to get to the bottom of it. Matt and I think so much a like, thats why we are bestfriends forever<33.

blogging all though fun and knowledgable could be very dangerous at time. Posting your full name could attract strangers and possibly people that want to rape you(katharine). There a lot sick people out there that might want to try to kidnap you. Blogging is a great time and I feel that we should use it in every class. After reading 451 for some time i feel that the main theme is technology. It seems like they made the future a really different place. The author makes the people in the story against learning. I think that that is crazy. If we as a society stopped learning new things I think that we all would become cavemen again. Learning new material and learning about technoloy is very important. Technoloy is very important in our life.

fahrenheit 451 #2

Fahrenheit 451 is a very good book. At first I didn't realize what Montag was hiding, but after a reading more of the book I understood. Even though Montag's a firefighter and burns books, he's still interested in them. He wants to understand why books were banned in the first place, and I believe he's really interested in them. Mildred has no idea that the books are hidden in the house because she doesn't know anything that goes on in the house. I don't think that Mildred, Montag's wife, really is aware of anything going on around her. She's always in her "parlor", which I didn't understand either. I thought that a parlor was just a room where people hang out, and I thought her "family" was her real family, until I read over it one more time. After realizing the walls in the parlor weren't just walls, they were actually large tv's. Also, the tv was like our modern day "video chats" you can do on iMacs. The tv's allow you to sit in a room surrounded by tv's and people on the tvs. They have become Mildred's family, and she thinks that she's happy. She's into all the technology that's coming up in the world, and she's aware of nothing that's going on around her. Mildred didn't even know that she overdosed one night. I don't think Mildred is really happy, I think she just thinks she's happy. I think that by the end of the book Mildred will stop relying on the technology and start to realize what's really important in the world.

Fahrenheit 451

I choose Fahrenheit 451 because when I read the excerps it really caught my attention. It seemed like the main character, Montag, was crazy. He seemed to enjoy watching the fire burning down the house and he didn't even care. I wonder what is going to happen with the new neighbor that lives near him. When he met Clarisse they seemed to get along well and I think that they will become friends.
